OSI Laser Diode, a division of OSI Optoelectronics is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor. This individual is responsible for supervising the QA Dept staff, which includes monitoring the delivery schedule and assigning work responsibilities both in and out of the department. They will train new hires during the development process and monitor performance. Performing/ overseeing Final Inspection, Labeling and Packaging processes. Additionally, they will be responsible for the Receiving/ Receiving Inspection/ Shipping Department Interfacing with Manufacturing and the Sales Department pertaining to shipments and QA issues and filing documentation are also part of the constant positional requirements. They will support the QA Manager with special projects as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Team Management & Employee Supervision.
  • Training, Development & Performance Monitoring.
  • Work Assignment Scheduling.
  • Performing Product Final Inspections.
  • Creating & Printing Labels & Product Packaging.
  • Product Packaging & Shipping.
  • Performing Receiving Inspection & Pulling Work Orders.
  • Inventory Monitoring, Materials Ordering, Performing Audits & Other Assigned Tasks.
  • Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct. Ensure that direct report(s) are trained and evaluated on their knowledge and adherence to the company's values, Code of Ethics and Conduct, and applicable compliance policies.
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 5+ years of QC experience required. Supervisory experience desired.
  • The candidate must be proficient at inspection and paying attention to fine details, have the ability to read drawings and the know-how to use M&T equipment.
  • Computer skills (use of outlook, excel, word, Navision, etc.) and data entry required. D365 experience is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive product is important.
  • A positive attitude and a good rapport with coworkers is important.
