The Role

The Software Engineer II will partner in an agile team environment to design, develop, code, test and debug applications or enhancements to existing applications built on Microsoft 365 Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), supporting users across the company. Develop solutions across many disciplines and be responsible for explaining solutions and procedures. Apply principles, theories and concepts and use methodologies, tools, documentation processes and test procedures to complete projects. We are seeking a skilled and motivated engineer with a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of hands-on experiencedeveloping and optimizing microservices in cloud environments.

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the US.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Partner in an Agile Scrum team environment to be able to design, develop, code, test, debug and support in production new software or enhancements to existing software,contributing to a highly empowered and collaborative team culture.
  • Work closely with the team to build technical solutions that meet business and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with developers in a fast-moving agile team to define and implement effective and efficient automated tests
  • Documents own work to promote transparency and reuse
  • Build unit tests, debug integration issues and deploy emergency patches as needed
  • Build production-quality enterprise-grade systems that achieve target SLAs for scalability, reliability, and performance on schedule
  • Prioritize and handle multiple concurrent projects and efforts
  • Accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; making clear, specific commitments to deliver results
  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java, Spring Boot, or similar technologies on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Work with various GCP services, including Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, and Cloud SQL.
  • Implement best practices for cloud architecture, continuous integration, and deployment.
  • Leverage knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases for efficient data management.
  • Understand and apply TM Forum Open APIs.
  • Ensure quality deliverables by writing automated test cases and managing API configurations in GitHub following naming conventions and best practices
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Apigee X and experience with API management.
  • Familiarity with AccelQ or similar automation testing tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with a self-starter attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Google Cloud Platform certification preferred
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$66,375 - $88,500 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$69,694 - $92,925 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$73,013 - $97,350 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA
