Planning Coordinator

Position Overview: The role of the Planning Coordinator is to synchronize the flow of work and materials through production in order to achieve on time sales order fulfillment. This includes the timely and accurate issuance and updates to production orders and departmental production schedules.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Validate and release manufacturing orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) and coordinate the flow of material throughout the production cycle.
• Ensure Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) is accurate and up to date.
• Understand and highlight capacity constraints and work collaboratively with manufacturing and sales teams on resolution.
• Evaluate new sales orders/changes and provide estimated ship date.
• Provide sales team with order fulfillment status and updates regarding potential challenges to meeting agreed On Time Delivery dates.
• Review and update production schedules and issue order changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or changes in priority.
• Expedite backorders from Production departments or Purchasing.
• Prepare for and attend weekly production meetings.

What You Bring to the Table:

High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 year's of scheduling and/ or planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
