Sr. Data Analyst - Supply Chain Operations

We're looking to hire a Sr. Data Analyst to join our Global Supply Chain Analytics team in St. Paul, MN. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading initiatives in supply chain operations digital solutions and provide support in functional product deployments and maintenance. You'll work closely with the operational stakeholders, data engineering and design teams to co-create quality products and solutions and get them design-reviewed and support formal product launches. You'll also promote adoption and utilization as an effective change agent. As a part of Ecolab Digital (IT) the GSC analytics organization serves the global supply chain community with data-driven business insights through analytics solutioning and strategic capabilities for business outcomes influencing their operational decision making.

This role is part of the analytics team focused on North America Operations. This role will deliver world-class data and analytic solutions for Ecolab's North America supply chain footprint. Alongside global partners, the role is responsible for developing and deploying effective, insightful analytical solutions to promote process efficiency, best-in-class service and continuous improvement in the North America region with an eye to scale globally.

What You Will Do:

Project Management & Supply Chain Analytics

  • Work with supply chain associates to gather project requirements and create robust tools to support various operational initiatives.

  • Responsible for developing reporting for key KPIs and other operational and process metrics

  • Partner with data engineering team for curating data and securing steady access to various quality data sources.

  • Ensure data quality and data validation processes for supply chain data.

  • Document the work deliverables to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Lead design reviews of visualizations and data products.

Process Improvement

  • Identify underperforming functional areas in supply chain and recommend improvements and resolutions to the problems.

  • Works alongside the Design team to ideate product solutioning and help create prototypes and iterations by leveraging technology platforms like Power BI. Create interactive and informative dashboards, while ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

  • Lead the functional QA process and governance for supply chain analytics products deployed to the North America region.

  • Conduct functional, integration, performance, and technical testing.

Product Development, Deployment and Change Management

  • Plan and coordinate release activities including training, change management and adoption of new processes and tools.

  • Collaborate with global and regional leaders to mobilize enterprise value by standardizing and scaling solutions to multiple regions and use cases.

  • Act as the primary subject-matter-expert on new and existing reporting and digital tool offerings, driving operational teams to faster speed-to-insights and improved effectiveness.

  • Work on various process efficiency improvement, automation and controls projects.

  • Maintain a curated catalog of digital resources to support supply chain operations including lifecycle management and enhancement requests.

Functional Knowledge Management

  • Contribute to knowledge management and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Translate operational use cases to clear and complete analytical requirements

  • Follow industry trends to identify opportunities to adopt new technologies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, supply chain, or a similar role

  • Strong understanding of supply chain concepts and principles

  • Excellent analytical and quality problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Entry-level exposure to technical skills in visualization using MS Power BI and familiarity with programming skills in Python, SQL and M/DAX language.

  • Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills.

  • Adept at change management and maximizing value creation through new processes and tools.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure in cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) and data management in SQL querying and SAP tables / transactions for Logistics, Planning or other S&OP functions.

  • Six sigma green belt certification or other project management endorsements or certifications.

  • Advanced degree/certificate(s) in supply chain operations, manufacturing, computer science or other similar focus

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $83,600.00 - $125,400.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
