ABOUT THE JOB:

Master Data Specialist is responsible managing the critical data within SAP and connected systems. This role is responsible for developing and managing processes, governance, policies, standards to support the creation, modification and removal of data relating to inventoried and non inventoried products, purchased assets, and other types of business-critical information.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Develops and supports corporate policy on new material requests.
  • Creates and implements a streamlined approach to new data requests and ensures accurate input into SAP and connected systems. Collaborates with accounting to accurately capture material cost and tax applications within newly created materials.
  • Manages SKU hierarchy and reviews any need for hierarchy realignment on an annual basis.
  • Leads an annual sku rationalization process to reduce obsolete materials within SAP.
  • Participates as master data lead within integration projects
  • Supports data analytics and KPIs to support and execute a proper inventory plan.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain Management or 3 or more years with a proven track record of managing master data.



Required Skills and Abilities:



  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management in collaborating with multiple functions
  • Analytical thinker with an understanding of broader supply chain initiatives
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Strong user of SAP, MS Office applications
  • Tableau data reporting experience preferred



Work Environment:



  • On site in Baltimore or Phoenix office
