Job Description:

The Shipping Coordinator will provide administrative shipping support within the Durand business unit and will be primarily responsible for administrative duties related to shipping & receiving. This team member will also be responsible for completing shipping documents, scheduling and routing freight carriers, and be the central receiving point for all deliveries to the Durand business unit and distribution of receiving items in Durand.
  • Responsible for the daily shipping coordination within the Durand Business Unit.
  • Process all shipments in ERP system ensuring all information is accurate.
  • Responsible for logistic arrangements and tracking of outside processing requirements.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure machines/parts are shipping in a timely fashion with all proper paperwork and labels/tags which include digital copies of shipments.
  • Conducts end of month finished good inventory counts.
  • Work with 3rd party logistics groups, trucking companies, to get quotes and ensure pickups for outbound orders are aligned with the site shipping schedule.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies and loss/damaged freight. Work with carriers on filing claims as well as closing out claims that are filed.
  • Ensure all shipments are properly packaged to avoid damage to machines/parts. Ensure all international shipments are packaged to the proper specifications.
  • Completes monthly audit as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience with shipping and/or logistics
  • 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • HS Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
  • Basic Knowledge of the US Department of Commerce Export Regulations and the United. States International Trade Commission and HTS Codes.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational, analytical and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask.
