Bring your excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills to a role that offers growth, impact, and the chance to help shape the future of retina care.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based partnerships with assigned retina clinic customers.

  • Act as a consultative business partner, identifying opportunities to enhance the customer's business through increased utilization of our services, programs, and solutions.

Proactive Customer Engagement:

  • Anticipate customer needs, investigate issues (e.g., stock shortages), and develop personalized solutions to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Drive outbound calling and marketing efforts to onboard and develop new business opportunities within the retina space.

Sales and Business Expansion:

  • Support sales initiatives for business growth, aligned with corporate and divisional goals.
  • Surface customer needs through deep knowledge of their business and identify opportunities to introduce relevant SPN programs and solutions that would benefit their practice.

Program Knowledge and Communication:

  • Develop a strong understanding of industry-specific programs (e.g., market changes, specialty distribution, and customer-specific solutions).
  • Update customers on relevant program changes, new products, and market insights to ensure they are informed and equipped for success.

Collaboration and Alignment:

  • Partner with other sales and account management teams to present a unified and cohesive approach to supporting customer needs.
  • Work closely with Membership, Corporate Account Directors, Account Executives, and other internal teams to continually improve customer satisfaction.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Log all customer interactions, opportunities, and activities in Salesforce to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Use data insights to identify opportunities, address challenges, and create actionable plans to enhance customer outcomes.

Financial Acumen:

  • Develops and demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of customer invoicing, payment terms, purchasing history, buying patterns.
  • Excel skills as necessary to assist with data analysis and support when required.

Territory Management and Travel:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the retina market, industry trends, and regional dynamics.
  • Travel quarterly (including overnight travel) to engage with customers and attend national or regional meetings and conferences.

Onboarding and Transition Support:

  • Work directly with the Director of Sales to transition new business into the assigned territory and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new customers.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in account management, inside sales, or customer service, preferably in the retina, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to identify and resolve customer challenges.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of specialty pharmaceutical distribution, retina clinics, or the broader healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly for customer engagements and industry events.
