Job Description

Product Planning/Customer Service


Coordinate overall material availability, shop floor, assembly, source and shipping activity to support product deliveries. Provides input to Master Scheduler of product status coordinating issues with manufacturing and providing feedback to sales and/or directly to customers. Resolves most problems independently but identifies and elevates issues as necessary.



Demand Management


Reviews end item demand. Works with Master Scheduler, Sales Department and Customers to resolve forecast/backlog discrepancies. Manipulates firm planned orders to level load.



MRP


Demonstrates thorough working knowledge and understanding of MRP and related interdependencies. Establishes and maintains planning factors and provides input on operational policies. Provides leadership and direction to other team members. Troubleshoots issues with IS. Makes suggestions for improvement.



Shop Floor Control


Possesses detailed understanding of back scheduling routines. Provides leadership to peers on Priority Planning. Is able to establish guidelines, give direction and provide input for policy change. Is abreast of operational challenges and able to give guidance on priority conflicts. Understands the functional principles of CRP and is able to manage if required.



Microsoft Excel Use


Comfortable navigating and utilizing excel spreadsheets for data manipulation and documentation.



Minimum requirements


High School diploma or equivalent


Preference given to candidates with secondary degree or equivalent 3-5 years MRP & SFC Planning/Scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.



Abilities required


Ability to read and understand complex written and verbal instructions


Attention to detail


Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization
