Responsibilities The Pediatric School Interventionist & Educator plays a critical role in supporting the academic, cognitive, and psychosocial development of children and adolescents undergoing treatment. This specialized educator serves as a liaison between the healthcare setting and educational institutions, ensuring continuity of learning and the implementation of appropriate academic accommodations tailored to each patient's medical and emotional needs. Working collaboratively with medical teams, families, and school personnel, the interventionist develops and monitors Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provides direct instruction when necessary, and advocates for the child's academic success. The role educates school staff and peers about pediatric cancer to foster empathy, inclusion, and a supportive learning environment. Qualifications Required:
