Summary The Coffee Research & Development Internship will allow the successful candidate to enhance their real-life experiences and learn modern skills in the field they are studying. It is an outstanding opportunity to get hands-on experience on the manufacturing facility and understand how data is applied to make insightful observations, determine efficiency trends and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Complete studies on coffee manufacturing and liquid extraction processed, collect relevant data and provide recommendations based on data Learn and utilize laboratory analytical tools to measure product changes Using systems to their maximum potential and make reporting effective, efficient, timely, accurate, and insightful Analyze current research and development processes; develop and implement ideas for improvement Develop performance standards & metrics; implement analysis and reporting processes to monitor operational performance Work on specifications creation and documentation Other duties as assigned by R&D team Requirements Enrolled in Bachelor's degree program Possesses real interest in coffee as a specialty product and a beverage Experience with design of experiments, data collection and process analysis Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills Students with a minimum of one year of major specific classes, preferred Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to loud, hot, cold, or wet environments Ability to sit, stand, walk and climb stairs for eight hours per day About Us Chobani is a food maker with a mission of making high-quality and nutritious food accessible to more people, while elevating our communities and making the world a healthier place.
