We are hiring an Administrative Assistant at our Division office in Herndon, Virginia to support our Environmental and Community and Government Relations teams. This role is fully onsite, with hours of Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Some overtime will be required. Minimal travel. What You'll Do: You will support the Environmental and Community Relations teams by: Preparing Correspondence and Reports. Responsible for preparing correspondence and reports to fulfill both department's needs, including community complaints and incidents. Ensures accuracy of all assignments including proofreading documents for errors, clarity, and correctness. Maintains records of quarterly and year-end reports, quarterly accomplishments, and staff meeting notes. Data Entry. Responsible for entering data from reports and permits into department and corporate databases. Ensures that data is recorded carefully and checked for accuracy on all assignments. Record Maintenance. Responsible for organizing and maintaining the electronic and physical files for both departments, ensuring that all filing is up-to-date so that quick and easy retrieval of material will be facilitated. Responsible for keeping track of due dates for reports, projects, correspondence, important deadlines, and planning time accordingly. Other. Management of permitting, researching ordinances and permitting, and assisting with planning and organizing community events. Helps with the publication of a quarterly newsletter. This position will support both departments with purchase card usage, budgeting and expense reports. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Skills You'll Need: Education. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred. Experience. At least 2 years of administrative experience is required. Experience supporting Community and Government Relations or Environmental departments in the construction or related industry is preferred. Organizational and Time Management Skills. Must have a keen attention to detail and the ability to establish a course of action for yourself and others to accomplish specific goals. Must have the ability to budget time and set priorities. Technology Skills. Must be skilled in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Project. What You'll Like About Us: Salary Range. The base pay range for this role is between $18.72 - $28.07 hourly. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package.
