Position Purpose |
To provide quality, responsive registration services to students, faculty, staff, and alumni at the Geisel School of Medicine. To lead registration operations and processes for the medical education program, managing systems and technology, ensuring adherence to policies and accuracy of information, and communicating with diverse stakeholders. To develop new initiatives and implement projects to advance the Registrar's Office in improving efficiency, effectiveness, and service. |

- 5+ years work experience in higher education administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret policies, rules, and procedures.
- Ability to inspire trust and work collegially with staff, faculty members, school and campus officers, administrators, and students.
- Demonstrated ability managing integrated student databases (Microsoft Office Suite, OASIS, Banner, FileMaker, etc.) and learning new technology.
- Initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work independently in a continually changing environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities and meet critical deadlines, despite frequent interruptions.
- Discretion and ability to deal with highly confidential student information.
- Practiced in providing friendly and professional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in a Registrar's Office
- Experience with OASIS and/or Banner
- Familiarity with health professions programs

Key Accountabilities
Description |
Administration
- Oversees core operations and processes including, but not limited to, course and elective registration, grade collection, enrichment lotteries, certification of degree completion, visiting student applications, transcript production, and enrollment verification.
- Educates students on the processes for registering for courses and onsite and offsite rotations. Counsels students on course selection to fulfill degree requirements. Effectively communicates deadlines and other key information.
- Partners effectively with Geisel education administrative units, students, and other institutions in the execution of registration processes, following up as needed and collaboratively problem solving.
- Directs OASIS (Online Access to Student Information and Scheduling) system implementation, monitoring functioning, training users, creating related policies, proactively identifying challenges, and collaborating with system engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Tracks key student data and reports as appropriate to administrative leadership, AAMC, and College.
- Ensures the accuracy, confidentiality, security, and integrity of student academic records.

- Enhances Registrar's Office processes by evaluating office effectiveness, establishing improvement goals, initiating and prioritizing project needs, and leading project communication and implementation.
- Participates on Geisel and campus-wide committees on behalf of the Registrar's Office, supporting processes, communicating about the office, and keeping abreast of best practices.
