Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring an Integrations Engineer Lead to join our dynamic Cloud Solutions & Interdisciplinary Systems. This position reports to the Technical Subject Mater Expert and is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and integration needs. This position combines hands-on data engineering expertise with integration responsibilities, including analysis of customer systems, business processes, and system constraints. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders to ensure data solutions are robust, secure, and aligned with organizational goals. U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.

What You Will Do:



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business data requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources, including customer systems.
  • Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and document existing customer systems (e.g., CAMA systems, SQL/Oracle/AS400/Informix) and integration points.
  • Perform code/configuration changes and scripting related to SQL and other database systems to support integration and transformation processes.
  • Develop and maintain data workflows using cloud-based and on-prem services and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of Python, .NET, or Node.js to support data transformation and integration.
  • Conduct extensive database research to understand customer business processes and system constraints.
  • Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Document data architecture, pipelines, and integration processes for internal knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Apply security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Apply Data Ops principles to managed workflows and systems
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, and software developers.


What You Will Bring:



  • Citizenship (required).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, integration, or a related technical role.
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, AS/400).
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large-scale data systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms , data services, and data store solutions.
  • Proficient in html, Python, .NET, or Node.js for data transformation and scripting.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and protocols (e.g., ODBC, RDP/VPN, REST APIs).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving data synchronization and integration issues.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and schema design.
  • Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering for data and integration projects.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for data workflows to support automated testing, deployment, and version control.
  • Monitor data pipelines and infrastructure using observability tools to ensure performance, reliability, and uptime.
  • Assist in automating data validation, quality checks, and error handling within ETL/ELT processes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and senior data engineers to implement infrastructure as code (IaC) for data environments.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for data pipeline failures or anomalies.
  • Maintain documentation for operational procedures, deployment processes, and monitoring configurations.
  • Support the implementation of data governance policies through automated controls and audit logging.
  • Help optimize pipeline performance and resource usage through profiling and tuning.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhancements to data operations workflows.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range

$78,400 - $130,700 USD
