A little about this position:
  • Responsible for the overall outdoor operations of Woolly's Adventure Summit at Mammoth Mountain and associated budget. This position directly oversees the daily Business Unit operations including Mtn Coaster, Winter Activities, Summer Activities, On site activation, Equipment maintenance, State compliance, and Guest & Employee Experience Trail. Responsible for the development of department policies and procedures, Mammoth Way implementation while ensuring synchronization with company initiatives, culture and value sets.
  • Works collectively with F&B, guest services and other departments to deliver an amazing overall guest experience.
  • Involves identifying, developing and implementation of new service offerings and business opportunities that fit within the Woolly's master plan to expand revenue. Assists the facility manager to ensure delivery of an exceptional physical and safe experience.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in recreation, attractions, resort, or adventure park management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory leadership role.
  • Minimum 2-year experience managing a line level staff required, including scheduling, hiring, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets.
  • Knowledge of outdoor recreation operations and equipment safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a mountain environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and positively with guests of all ages and skill levels.
  • Must have a high level of initiative and independent judgement.
  • Must be able to identify object dangers and follow strict safety protocols.
  • Must be able to respond to mechanical or medical emergencies as necessary.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing employees and fostering teamwork.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests and staff.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, shoveling snow, and working in varying weather conditions, including direct sun and adverse weather.
  • Flexibility in assigned responsibilities to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a ski resort setting.


Pay: $75,601.32 - $80,213.49 per year
