Position Overview: The Information Technology group within Kimball International's Corporate Headquarters is seeking a college student for an exciting summer internship opportunity during the summer of 2026. This internship will provide hands-on experience in application development and software engineering, working alongside experienced developers on real-world projects that impact Kimball's business operations. Internship Responsibilities: * Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging data engineering applications primary SQL and Power BI * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze application requirements * Support development and maintenance of BI application * Participate in development reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts * Help with troubleshooting and resolving BI tickets * Document BI model designs, user guides, and technical specifications Required Qualifications: * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or local Jasper graduated students. * Basic understanding of programming languages such as SQL * Familiarity with software development, lifecycles and methodologies * Familiarity to develop data engineering solutions to feed semantic models and to support operational reporting using tools like SQL and Power BI Preferred Qualifications: * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Effective communication and teamwork skills * Coursework or projects involving application development or software engineering Location and Work Requirements: * Must be local to Jasper, IN * Required to work onsite at the Jasper Corporate Headquarters | |
