Position Description
The Project Manager (referred to as a Program Officer within the Carrot division) is the face of Carrot and is key to connecting and activating the larger Carrot team to meet client goals and objectives. The Program Officer works with our internal team and clients as the project lead throughout the prize competition lifecycle from start to finish. The Program Officer will be responsible for the following in the context of Carrot's standard design methodology and in coordination with other team members.

Essential Functions
PROGRAM DESIGN
- Collaborate with Carrot's senior leadership, Creative and Development / Platform teams to design prize competitions, including kick-off meetings, program charters and schedules, prize idea and award structure brainstorms, and landscape analysis reports.
- Construct application requirements and evaluation processes, including application forms, scoring rubrics, and working from a boilerplate template to finalize terms and conditions, privacy policies, rules and other eligibility requirements for participants.
- Coordinate outreach and engagement to participants and judges, including strategies, social media campaigns, Q&A webinars, and participant communication plans and judge toolkits.
PRIZE WEBSITE & PLATFORM COORDINATION
- Coordinate with Carrot's Creative and Development / Platform teams to set program and technical requirements, balance client requests for features and functionality with software development schedules and costs, document workflows by roles as needed, and validate that website and platform meet prize design specifications.
- Craft copy and content for competition websites.
- Manage client review and approval of design and website development deliverables.
PRIZE COMPETITION MANAGEMENT
- Serve as main project manager and point of contact for clients, leading regularly scheduled status meetings and taking an active role in solving any issues that may arise.
- Coordinate communications, engagement, and outreach, including responding to questions and requests for technical support from participants and monitoring registration and submission metrics to ensure each competition is on track to meet client goals.
- Manage Evaluation Panel judges including recruitment, training, tracking, and communications.
- Work with clients to navigate the evaluation and award selection process, including guidance on events, evaluation surveys, and public announcements of results/awards.
- Other responsibilities required as assigned, such as planning meetings for platform improvements, marketing and communications tasks to promote Carrot and its initiatives, business development, and administrative tasks as they relate to the role.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and five or more related years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and training or a Master's degree and two or more year's related experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Proven relationship management skills, excellent and effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in working with a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines, and follow through with tasks in a timely manner
- Able to take initiative, anticipate any risks, think critically, and work proactively
- Able to use discretion, maintain confidentiality and cultural sensitivity, and work diplomatically with diverse constituencies
- Competence in various technologies and platforms
- Knowledge of the nonprofit/philanthropic sector, grantmaking and/or fundraising processes
- Position may include periodic domestic and international travel for key client meetings and events. With some clients located in different time zones, this position may require the ability to meet outside of regular office hours from time to time.

Anticipated starting salary is in range commensurate with education and experience:
Project Manager: $80,000 - $90,000 |
