Description This role will oversee and manage all aspects of inventory cost accounting (moving average cost and purchase price variance accounting & analysis (including cost, freight and duty)), and inventory accounting & reconciliation (including inventory valuation, monthly journal entries related to inventory and COGS to record inventory movement, accruals for inventory in transit and amortization of capitalized variances). This role will report to the VP, Accounting and will oversee one cost accountant. This role will regularly support and interact with our sourcing, operations, planning, logistics, and inventory control teams. - Prepare journal entries and close the books - Perform margin analysis and purchase price variance - Handle inventory accounting: Shrink reserves, Valuation reserves, Perpetual inventory, Inventory in transit, Reconciliations - Monitor moving average cost throughout the month - Support cost accounting for 3 UK stores - Collaborate with production and logistics teams - Analyze tariff and duty impacts - Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Skills cost accounting, erp system Top Skills Details cost accounting, erp system Additional Skills & Qualifications Ideal Candidate: - Hands-on experience with high SKU volume and inventory data - Comfortable with fast-paced, ever-changing environments - Strong Excel skills and Power BI proficiency - Experience with standard costing is acceptable - Industry experience in retail or apparel is highly preferred - Energetic and adaptable to a high-product-volume setting Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
