Full Time/Days (40 hours per week)

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

The Registered Nurse - Patient Navigator - PREP role is a critical member of the preoperative care team, working in close partnership with a small group of APPs and physicians who manage the assessment and optimization of medically and socially complex patients. The Patient Navigator RN will understand the clinical pathways established by the PREP program and will provide proactive clinical support to coordinate care, close communication gaps, manage care gaps, and promote timely preoperative optimization in order to improve patient outcomes.

Experienceworking with preoperative patients (ASU) and families preferred. Experience in community outreach preferred.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education:Bachelors' of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • License/Certifications:Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine. Evidence of ongoing education to maintain appropriate licensing.
  • Experience: Experienceworking with preoperative patients and families preferred. Experience in community outreach preferred.
