We are seeking an initiative-taking Regional Facilities Manager to oversee the operational performance and maintenance of multiple commercial/retail properties in the greater Tampa Bay market. The Regional Facilities Manager must be a dynamic leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering best-in-class workplace solutions.

As a Regional Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-performing environment across a portfolio of sites, managing vendor relationships, driving sustainability initiatives, and enhancing overall facility and critical systems operations. The Regional Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Facilities Management Team. Lead, direct, and motivate the Facilities employees. Acts as an agent of the credit union and communicates with vendors regularly and is a liaison between vendors and all credit union representatives, business relationships in and around GTE Financial Headquarters, and all Credit Union properties.

What does GTE look for in a Regional Facilities Manager?

Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor direct reports, fostering motivation, engagement, and personal development.
  • Prepare timely evaluations that accurately measure employee performance and provide direction for future growth and development.
  • Management of work requests, delegation of work to Field Maintenance Technicians, and tracking completion.
  • Oversee and support the day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Facilities Operations:

  • Hands-on background in critical systems management, particularly HVAC, fire prevention systems, standby generators, ATS, UPS, electrical/ mechanical, and BMS (building management)/ CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Must possess and demonstrate proficient AutoCAD and PC skills (Microsoft Office, building automation software, FM software), with the ability to learn new solutions.
  • Spearhead asset replacements/ refurbishment initiatives aligned with agreed lifecycles and workplace conditions.
  • Sourcing and the management of service partners/ agreements and ensuring the vendors are delivering the agreed-upon scope of work (SOW).
  • Developing and executing the planned and break-fix capital and operational budgets for multiple locations.
  • Backs up Facilities Specialists for all day-to-day operations during their absence.
  • Assures timely procurement of supplies and inventory management.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Manage small to large-scale remodeling and special construction efforts throughout the portfolio.

Experience:

  • Strong soft skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to operate efficiently in ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Support and encourage the credit union's mission, vision, and brand promise.
  • Act as an ambassador between the Administration and Community Financial Centers, along with the various departments.

Operations:

  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to the U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction/Facilities Management, or equivalent combination.
  • Min 10 years of progressive experience with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams in high-touch, service environments across multiple locations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial real estate, project management, and real estate finance fundamentals.
  • Credible and impactful communicator, capable of preparing concise updates for senior executives about regional activities, operating with a "no surprises" approach.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee complex renovation or construction projects.
  • Budget management and financial reporting experience.
  • A valid Florida Driver's License in good standing is required.

Position Details:

  • Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
  • Department Hours: Monday- Friday (8:00 am to 6:00 pm / on-call position)
  • On-site support and supervision during and post-hurricanes are required for this position.

Full-time hours required, with additional hours necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

The position is defined as hybrid in nature and in-office this may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice, if possible.

  • A quiet workplace so you can focus on delivering excellent service to our members.
  • Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
  • Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
  • Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
  • Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
  • Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
