Summary
Develops and delivers interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children. May take care of children ranging from infants to five-year-olds. Essential Functions Observe and accurate interpretation of children's need to be able to provide warm and inviting environment for children of varying ages. Interact in all gross motor activities with children. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children. Actively supervise children while keeping them safe. As appropriate, change diapers and children's clothing. No Education Associate's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Physical Therapist [State License] preferred Heartsaver CPR AED Certification [CPR] preferred First Aid Certification preferred Experience Childcare provider / preschool teacher 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods. Strong communication and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with children, parents, and other professionals. Strong commitment to children's learning and continued social development.
