The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Summary

Under direction of General Manager (GM) you will be responsible for drafting, coordinating, and supporting the Company's strategic planning and company objectives, strategic planning process, and initiatives relating to business transformation and change management. In addition, the Director, Business Transformation will oversee the implementation of a comprehensive transformation initiative aimed at aligning people, processes, and tools with the new Business Unit (BU) strategy to achieve customer expectations, growth, and profitability objectives. This role relies heavily on the ability to build relationships, influence diverse teams, and support action leads who have independent responsibilities. The charter for this role will be developed collaboratively with the business upon position establishment and acceptance.

What You Will Do
  • Join ongoing initiative and validate the current state of the BU and definition of the strategic end-state.
  • At the BU level, inclusive of subordinate action plans/initiatives, drive, monitor, and report on tasks, action plans, and initiatives through a performance dashboard to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Implement a Return To Green (RTG) Plan as necessary to address shortfalls and challenges.
  • Drive critical need for increased efficiency.
  • Focus on profitability, market share, and growth.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture to accomplish transformation goals.
  • Support/Lead with BU Marketing Director the marketing plan intended to effectively communicate the why/how for change across the BU to build a coalition of support and engage team members in the process.
  • Under direction, responsible for coordinating and supporting the Company's strategic planning and company objectives, strategic planning process, and initiatives relating to business transformation and change management.
  • Develop long-range planning to ensure the best use of resources to support the key objectives for growth and profitability.
  • Identify and recommend cross-business synergies for coordinated business strategies.
  • Assisting senior management team with the plan/objectives to achieve the strategic plan. Develop and conduct continuous reviews of established objectives for progress.
  • Responsible for understanding the entire portfolio of programs, products, and services across the business, including those under development.
Additional Responsibilities

Support senior leadership in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in systems optimization, operations research, change management or related discipline.
  • Preferred experience of 4+ years leading organizations through change management.
  • Prior service in Rugged Computer/Vehicle Electronics, etc. market space at Strategic levels.
  • Familiarity with Design/Development processes, manufacturing processes, program and product management.
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite to include PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Requires 50%+ domestic travel.
