This is a benefited, part time position (48 hours every 2 weeks) working 3 days/week generally from 8am-5pm. What you'll do: This is a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Hybrid role where you will be responsible for both front and back office duties. Rooming patients. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Checking vitals
- Assisting with procedures
- Registration, scheduling, work queue management
- Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
- Predominantly back-office responsibilities but is expected to help with front-office duties on an as-needed basis
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Organizes and performs patient care services that support the provider's practice
- Relaying instructions from the provider to the patient or authorized person
- Collecting patient data in person and by phone
- Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
- Administering medications specifically directed by the provider
- Scheduling of appointments and procedures
- Complete and accurate message taking
- Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction
- Order and referral entry
- Acquisition of pre-certifications
- Setting up of cases in EPIC
- Other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Front and back office experience in a healthcare environment
- Sports Medicine experience
