Job Summary:

The WeCARE Supervisor for Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) will work with the Assistant Director for VRS to oversee the Vocational Rehabilitation Services case management staff, who are responsible for providing services to WeCARE clients who are deemed to be employable with accommodations. The VRS supervisor's role is to support and initiate the implementation of a strategically focused vocational services plan that complies with all NYC HRA contractual requirements.

Approximately 900 clients enrolled annually in Vocational Rehabilitation Services are to become competitively employed.

Assist in the development and facilitation of departmental trainings and training materials for the UBA WeCARE VRS case managers.

Skill managing and directing staff in following Services Plans including:

  • Accessing services to address medical/health diagnoses.
  • Accessing services to address behavioral health diagnoses;
  • Accessing services to address barriers to employment such as obtaining approved forms of government identification, interview clothing, child care, Office of Child Support Enforcement, improving credit rating, etc.
  • Knowledge of various software systems including SEAMS
  • Knowledge of various software systems including SEAMS and EPIC.
  • Possess strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
  • 3 years' experience
  • Associate must have ability to assist in the development of detailed policies and procedures.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Associate must have excellent verbal and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to respond to requests from many people and departments.
  • The ability to focus and have strong attention to detail is mandatory.
