Airgas is Hiring for a Supply Chain Solutions Tech with a CDL A in Texas City!! We are looking for you !
  • Pay : $26 per hour

  • Potential for Quarterly Bonuses!

  • Monday-Friday, shift starts at 7:30 am

The Supply Chain Solutions Technician at Airgas plays a crucial role as the primary customer contact for packaged gases, welding hard goods, and safety concerns. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Outlook Service Model, which includes managing packaged gas deliveries and programs, ensuring safe handling practices, and streamlining order processing and invoicing. The technician will proactively manage customer product needs to prevent emergencies and will also initiate and execute cost-reduction programs, generate reports, and handle daily customer interactions at their sites.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Streamlining and managing the ordering and error resolution processes.

  • Overseeing the implementation of e-commerce, EDI, and EFT solutions.

  • Generating reports for regulatory agencies, accounting/auditing, and internal cost allocation.

  • Ensuring the accurate tracking of cylinder barcodes.

  • Maintaining handheld devices and other technology support equipment.

  • Providing support to the local branch 1-2 days per week, and as needed, by assisting with deliveries and fulfilling warehouse and yard responsibilities related to assigned customer inventory.

  • Daily loading and unloading of gas cylinders and supplies onto trucks, and ensuring timely deliveries.

  • Maintaining courteous and professional relationships with customers.

  • Valid TX Class A or B Commercial Driver's License and Airbrake endorsements.

  • Hazmat endorsementand valid Medical Examiner's Card.

  • Must have one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.

  • In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years.

  • Must be at least 21 years or older

  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary safety credentials for customer site access.

  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending material safety data sheets.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime when necessary.
