What You Can Expect Working in the Operations Support Intern Position

The Operations Support Intern will gain hands-on experience in operations and logistics while supporting the daily functions of the department. This role is designed to be flexible, providing exposure to various areas including logistics coordination, customer service, documentation, inventory management, and project support. The intern will collaborate with multiple teams-including Sales, Service, Transportation, and Finance-to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.

This internship is ideal for a student or early-career professional seeking to learn about logistics and operations management in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Operations and Logistics team with day-to-day activities, including dispatch coordination, customer support, and inventory tracking.
  • Support documentation and data entry processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in contracts, invoices, and logistics records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to track product flow, monitor asset movements, and update systems with relevant details.
  • Participate in forecasting and reporting activities by compiling data and assisting with analysis of inventory, resource needs, and operational performance.
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, filing, and updating standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned, such as process improvements, project planning, or cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Shadow team members across different functions (Logistics, Sales, Transportation, etc.) to gain a well-rounded understanding of business operations.
  • Promote and uphold a safe, customer-focused, and collaborative working environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with CRM or inventory systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest in learning about operations, logistics, and customer service.
Work Environment

  • Sedentary work.
