Store Manager/Key Holder, you'll be a leader in driving sales, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and identifying opportunities to exceed both customer and company expectations. You'll inspire the team to create memorable moments for clients while supporting operational tasks and fostering a collaborative environment that reflects the New Era lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Sales and Customer Experience:
- Analyze sales performance and share actionable insights with the team to capitalize on opportunities and achieve daily goals
- Actively coach and develop the team with a solutions-oriented approach that leaves a positive, lasting impression
- Model and lead participation in marketing campaigns, events, and activations that drive traffic and customer engagement
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of current and future New Era products and educate the team on features and benefits
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Supervise, motivate, and develop store employees, balancing team priorities with company goals
- Provide coaching and feedback to enhance team performance, focusing on developing an agile, high-performing team aligned with New Era's values
- Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent
- Support the scheduling and timekeeping process to ensure appropriate staffing and compliance with labor budgets
- Operational Support:
- Support daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, reconciliation, and compliance with company policies
- Assist with loss prevention and asset protection measures
- Help execute stock processing, transfers, and inventory control to maintain accurate records
- Ensure visual merchandising guidelines and store standards are executed consistently in partnership with the Store Manager
- Complete daily paperwork accurately, including bank deposits, and credit card procedures, as assigned
- Keep all sensitive matters confidential
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Sales & Customer Experience Expertise:
- A strong ability to identify sales opportunities, inspire team members, and deliver tailored solutions that build customer loyalty.
- Knowledge and ability to support the execution of visual merchandising standards to maintain a compelling, brand-right customer experience.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Proven ability to train, coach, and inspire team members, and deliver feedback to improve performance and engagement.
- Experience managing schedules and approving timecards to meet the needs of the business effectively and efficiently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with leadership and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve escalated customer concerns while ensuring alignment with company policies and goals.
- Physical & Organizational Abilities:
- Experience handling store operations, including opening/closing, cash reconciliation, and inventory management.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including climbing ladders, walking up and down stairs, bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Education and Experience
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience of retail leadership experience, with a focus on sales, customer service, and team leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire both customers and team members.
- Experience in driving sales and creating customer solutions in a retail environment.
- Familiarity with supporting in-store events, merchandising, or marketing initiatives is a plus.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

This is a full-time role. The salary range for this posted position is $19.00 - $23.00 per hour (plus benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
