    IT Strategy Expert - FinOps Analyst

    Key Responsibilities:

    Data Analysis & Visualization

    • Continuously monitor cloud resource utilization and spending across AWS and Azure environments using native tools and third-party monitoring platforms.
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex cloud usage and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
    • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using PowerBI, QuickSight, and other BI tools to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from cloud billing systems, data warehouses, and operational databases.
    • Develop and maintain data pipelines and systems to support FinOps analytics and reporting.

    Engineering & Automation

    • Automate monitoring, alerting, and remediation of cloud cost inefficiencies using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
    • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to support FinOps tooling and governance.
    • Build integrations between FinOps platforms and internal systems to streamline cost allocation, chargebacks, and forecasting.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with engineering, finance, and operations teams to embed cost-awareness into design and deployment workflows.
    • Contribute to the development of a cost-conscious culture through documentation, training, and process standardization.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of overall experience and 2+ years as FinOps engineer/analyst.
    • Strong proficiency in PowerBI, QuickSight, or similar BI tools.
    • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
    • Experience with cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and geographies.

    Desired Qualifications

    • FinOps Certified Engineer or similar certification.
    • Experience or understanding of DevOps, automation, and full-stack engineering principles.
    • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
    • Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation.
    • Experience with Agile methodologies
