About the Role:

Oversee the entire operation at a large lab site. Provide technical and administrative direction to lab staff, exercising a high level of judgment and discretion to plan and accomplish revenue goals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Provide technical and administrative direction to the lab staff
* Implement best practices for continuous process improvement
* Leads organization to meet or exceed budgeted profit objectives
* Collaborate with Sales management to foster year-to-year revenue growth
* Manage staffing levels and ensure proper skill sets to achieve corporate goals; has approval authority on all new hires, reviews, increase and terminations
* Implement corporate policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
* Perform other duties as needed

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

* Strong understanding of Engineering principles, data interpretation, testing, & troubleshooting; strong knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical principles, and all potential aspects of safety; knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management, financial and accounting principles and practices
* Strong management skills. Skilled at developing high performing cohesive teams. Skilled at developing and implementing efficient and effective operational processes. Strong financial and business growth skills, with ability to meet or exceed profit objectives

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* BS in Engineering: MS in Engineering and/or MBA preferred
* 5-10+ years in a related field; 5+ years in management role; 5+ Years technical experience in a test laboratory business

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
