Description

The Component Repair and Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for Airframe parts procurement and repair to add value to the on-time performance of CAM's lease pre-delivery schedule. This position will provide support to CAM's airframe checks and AOG aircraft taking into account specific requirements for Boeing & Airbus components.

It requires consistent market oversight to develop and direct the efficient allocation and delivery of aerospace components in line with ongoing production plans and requirements.

Requires an understanding of aircraft components trace, certification and quality requirements.

Assist with forecasting to ensure costs are in line or below budget.

Coordinate work scopes and work order creation when it comes to parts repair.

Drive consistent performance and process improvements across a global supply chain.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS



  1. Minimum 2 years aerospace or equivalent experience with specific experience in airline or MRO material coordination preferred; other aviation experience will be taken into account.
  2. Proven track record of positively influencing work processes and behaviors in support of the operation.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and very strong analytical thinking skills in problem solving.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
  5. Systemic and process-oriented mindset, able to work seamlessly across boundaries with very little supervision
  6. GED/ bachelor's degree in technical discipline, or management with practical technical experience preferred.
  7. Excellent skills in the use of Excel.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS & DUTIES



  1. May be required to travel, frequency driven by operational demand.
  2. Ensure support of CAM commercial and technical expectations by other divisions or companies.
  3. Audit company owned assets to ensure complete ownership and accountability.
  4. Develop and utilize effective visual management and reporting tools.
  5. Provide support to CAMS airframe checks and AOG aircraft considering specific requirements for Boeing & Airbus components.
  6. Assist with forecasting to ensure costs are in line or below budget.
  7. Coordinate work scopes and work order creation when it comes to parts repair.
  8. Drive consistent performance and process improvements across a global supply chain in support of CAM's project and company goals.
  9. Administrative support or part ordering system Wings.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES



  1. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  2. Flexibility to work and travel outside of normal working hours, as needed


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS



  1. Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time
  2. Ability to work in a repair shop environment
  3. Ability to withstand constant to intermittent loud noise levels
  4. Ability to have close and distance vision
  5. Ability to lift up to 30lbs
