Are you ready to help shape the future of Smithfield Foods' supply chain strategy? As a Network Modeling Analyst, you will play a critical role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving operational improvements across our multi-billion dollar logistics network. This newly created role blends analytics, optimization modeling, and project management to support smarter, faster decision-making in a dynamic business environment.

You will work closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to develop network models, analyze large datasets, and uncover actionable insights. Your work will directly impact transportation, warehousing, and plant operations-helping us deliver quality products more efficiently and sustainably. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

*Network Modeling & Optimization

  • Create optimization models for hypothetical scenarios and strategic planning.

  • Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.

  • Collect voice-of-customer input, build models, and report results to stakeholders.

*Strategic Analysis & Cost Savings

  • Independently identify cost-saving opportunities across transportation, warehousing, and plant operations.

  • Provide fact-based analytics to support operational decisions and strategic initiatives.

  • Support process improvement projects driven by network analytics to enhance performance and reduce costs.

*Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Execute standard reports and maintain ad hoc queries to support complex decision-making.

  • Communicate methodology and insights clearly to stakeholders across the organization.

  • Continuously improve data integrity, reporting processes, and customer service to internal business partners.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • Ability to use advanced features of Excel.

  • Experience with Llamasoft Data Guru and Supply Chain Guru, SAP, MS SQL, Alteryx or equivalent technologies preferred.

  • Strong planning, organization, and execution skills.

  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently and work well under tight timelines.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and business logic.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with superb attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well both independently and collaborate with other in a fast-paced and rapidly changing and ambiguous environment.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

  • Up to 15% travel required.
