Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: B Shift - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (14% shift differential)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Process Technician - Etch to join our team at Polar Semiconductor. In this role, you will sustain and optimize etch processes to achieve higher yields and process quality. Your work will involve monitoring data, responding to process and equipment events, and partnering closely with engineering and production teams to support manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sustain etch processes to achieve greater line, parametric, and die yields.

  • Monitor process trends and ensure compliance with parameters.

  • Review product and test wafer data to maintain quality and make process adjustments.

  • Respond to qualification, inline measurement, and FabGuard events to optimize equipment availability.

  • Address lot holds and provide dispositions as required.

  • Assist process engineers with capacity planning, tool qualification, and process improvement projects.

  • Maintain process documentation and statistical process control (SPC) charts.

  • Collaborate effectively with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field, or equivalent (4+ years' experience as an operator/lead in Etch area in lieu of degree).

  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing techniques.

  • Experience with one or more wafer processing tool sets.

  • Familiarity with SPC, technical writing, and documentation.

  • Proficiency with computers, including MS Outlook and Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills, including calculations with fractions and percentages.

  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of process optimization techniques and yield improvement strategies.

What We Offer

Salary: $20.20 - $31.10 per hour (good-faith estimate), plus shift differentials where applicable.
