Description
As Global Director of IT, you will serve as a key strategic and operational leader within Aurorium's worldwide technology organization. In this high-visibility role, you will transform our IT function into a customer-centric, innovative, and highly efficient strategic partner, creating real value for the business. Your mandate is to develop and execute strategies that prioritize customer needs, delivering both immediate results and long-term programs that position Aurorium as a trusted business ally.

You will lead efforts to reimagine IT operations, drive cultural change, and thrive in a fast-moving, global environment-combining flawless day-to-day execution with proactive strategic thinking. Partnering closely with business leaders, stakeholders, and external partners, you will spearhead IT innovation initiatives, operational-excellence processes, and cost-efficient service performance across our global network. The ideal candidate blends high-level strategic vision with detailed roadmaps and strong partnerships to deliver measurable business outcomes and accelerate Aurorium's digital transformation.

The Director leads a high-performing IT team, delivers secure and scalable technology solutions, and partners with senior leadership to execute a customer-focused IT strategy that generates measurable business results.

Job Details

Role Specific Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports Aurorium's growth, efficiency, and customer-centric objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive and functional leaders to identify technology opportunities that enable competitive advantage and revenue growth.
  • Drive annual IT planning and budgeting processes to ensure investments align with strategic priorities and deliver measurable ROI.
  • Monitor technology trends and emerging innovations to proactively recommend solutions that advance business capabilities.

Operational and Service Management


  • Oversee global IT operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of core systems including ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce), SAGE, Intelex and enterprise collaboration platforms.
  • Lead the modernization of legacy systems and migration to scalable cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
  • Implement robust IT service management practices to provide responsive support, minimize downtime, optimize cost and meet defined SLAs.
  • Lead the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Customer and User Experience


  • Champion a service-first IT culture that delivers seamless, reliable, and user-friendly technology for both internal employees and external customers.
  • Partner with the functional teams to deploy digital tools and customer portals that enhance engagement and transparency.
  • Monitor and improve customer and user satisfaction metrics, using feedback to drive continuous improvement.

People Leadership and Talent Development


  • Build and lead a high-performing, globally distributed IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to strengthen technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to ensure team alignment with business objectives.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion to drive creativity and innovation within the IT organization.

Governance, Risk & Compliance


  • Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks for project and portfolio management, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee cybersecurity strategy and operations to protect data, systems, and intellectual property against evolving threats.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize service levels and cost efficiency.

Data and Analytics


  • Drive enterprise data strategy and governance to ensure integrity, accessibility, and security across the organization.
  • Develop advanced analytics capabilities and business intelligence dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with business units to identify key metrics and enable predictive analytics for proactive business planning.


Compliance:
  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements
  • Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
  • Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times

Education:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:


  • 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 7 years in global roles.
  • Demonstrated success in leading technology-enabled transformations and executing strategic IT initiatives.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP required) and Salesforce in a manufacturing environment.
  • Chemical or manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.
