- The Internal Control Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring internal control systems to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and enhance operational efficiency within an organization.
- Design and Implementation: Develop and implement internal control frameworks that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the organization's financial integrity and operational effectiveness.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, making necessary adjustments to improve performance and compliance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of internal control processes and prepare reports for management and stakeholders regarding control deficiencies and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with auditors, compliance officers, and other stakeholders to ensure that internal controls are effective and adhered to across the organization.
- System Implementation and Training
- Organize awareness and training sessions for system documentation to ensure all employees understand system requirements and adhere to standards in their work.
- Assist departments in resolving problems encountered during system implementation by providing technical support and guidance to ensure effective system operation.
- Internal Audit and Management Review
- Develop internal audit plans and organize the execution of internal audits to assess system compliance and effectiveness, identify nonconformities, and supervise corrective actions by responsible departments.
- Compile and analyze audit results, prepare internal audit reports, and report system performance to management to support management review.
- Assist in organizing management review meetings and follow up on resolutions to ensure continual improvement of the management system.
- External Communication and Certification
- Maintain effective communication with external certification bodies (CSA and others) and manage activities such as certification applications, audit scheduling, and follow-up surveillance audits.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes and adjust the management system accordingly to meet external requirements and company development needs..

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Internal Control role within manufacturing
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PV manufacturing or another PV-related field
- Ability to speak, write, and read in Mandarin-Chinese/English
- Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency in 5S, Six Sigma, Toyota production system, and Lean Manufacturing training courses.
- Good Knowledge of the application of statistical tools in process control and product monitoring.
- Knowledge of Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members
- Mechanical aptitude/ interest
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented, High degree of attention to detail, precision, and follow-through
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts
- Be able to conceive and manage small projects
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
