Description

Our Ontario, CA branch is looking for a Forklift Certification Specialist to join our team. The Forklift Certification Specialist delivers exceptional customer service and qualifies forklift operators to fill open positions in the growing Ontario market for our valued customers.

The Forklift Certification Specialist will conduct regular forklift certification classes for our local field associates and customers and play a hands-on role in our industry-leading service delivery and safety program.

In addition to prior forklift training/certification experience, this interactive role requires strong coaching, customer service, and communication skills.

The Forklift Certification Specialist daily activity will include these:



  • Leading regular forklift certification classes for our field employee workforce at our local office and at customer sites
  • Coaching, evaluating, and developing the skills of class participants
  • Keeping up with Training logs, and issuing certification cards
  • Completing onsite evaluations as needed
  • Traveling between our branch office and local customer sites as needed
  • Fostering an environment of teamwork and cooperation and a culture of workplace safety
  • Personifying our organization at the client work site; demonstrating the company's and the area's core values, operating principles, and service differentiators


Here's what you'll need to have:



  • At least 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment (Stand Up/Sit Down/Cherry Picker/Pallet Jack/Reach Truck and clamp lift truck)
  • Proof of forklift certification (current or prior)
  • Prior experience training and certifying other employees on forklifts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - bilingual is highly preferred
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook and the ability to learn new systems
  • Flexible "can do" attitude
  • High levels of motivation, self-direction, and maturity
