Quality Control Manager for Civil Construction

Department: Earth & Utility

Job Status: Full Time/Weather Dependent

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Operations Manager

Grade/Level: $30.00 - $38.00 / Hr D.O.E

Amount of Travel Required: Limited

Location: South Denver to Colorado Springs
Positions Supervised: Subordinates within all divisions and site Subcontractors


Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays. 7:00am to 5:30pm, hours & days can vary based upon Owner/GC requirements and workload.

Elite Surface Infrastructure Overview

Elite Surface Infrastructure (ESI) is a growing company located in Englewood Colorado and has been working along the Colorado front range since 1998. ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • Underground Wet Utility installation experience required.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Obtain USACE certification, work directly with USACE and maintain 3 phases of quality control.
  • Review submittals for accuracy and compliance with the project specification, reject if necessary and when approved, submit them to owner for acceptance.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and present quality control plans and methods to ensure project requirements will be met.
  • Prepare and submit daily timesheets, progress reports, code receipts and invoices, or track change of conditions that impact contract cost and scheduling.
  • Implement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or construction site emergencies.
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
  • Ability to work with computers and software programs (RMS, Procore, MS Project, Excel, HCSS ). P6 is not required but would be advantage for consideration.


Ensure as-built documentation is accurately completed and updated regularly and prepared for each monthly pay request.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience required. Must be familiar with Microsoft office software, utilizing a laptop/tablet, to complete and submit various documents (i.e., Timecards, Daily Reports, etc.)

Other Requirements: Clean Driving record and the ability to pass a background investigation, and drug screening. Able to access State & Federal Facilities.
