Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resource Generalist to support the overall administration and coordination of our human resources functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong HR expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast- paced environment. This role will encompass a broad range of HR responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and more.

Essential Functions

  • Administers and enforces human resources and corporate processes and procedures for unit personnel.
  • Maintains ADP entry for new hires, terminations, employee changes, LOA, and benefits.
  • Manages applicant tracking and onboarding for all workers including the internal posting of job openings, working with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; reference checks; and conducting new employee orientations.
  • Establishes and maintains HR department records and reports.
  • Participates in local unit staff meetings, safety meetings, and HR team meetings.
  • Collaborates with local and corporate payroll to ensure timely and efficient payroll processing.
  • Collaborates with Safety Manager on training and workers compensation program.
  • Works with HRM and Legal Team on Union information requests
  • Administers employee parking & employee badge systems.
  • Administers employee recognition programs, company bulletin boards, and distribution of newsletters.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources Management, or similar
  • 1+ years of human resources experience in manufacturing and/or unionized environments
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish or Mandarin
  • Business Acumen and Communication.
  • Knowledge of State Employment and Labor Law
  • Union /Labor Relations
  • Relationship Management
  • Knowledgeable with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) preferred
  • SHRM or PHR Certification preferred
