What this job involves: As a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll lead a team responsible for maintaining optimal building operations and tenant satisfaction. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, overseeing everything from routine repairs to complex maintenance projects while ensuring safety standards and operational efficiency.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead and supervise routine and preventive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
  • Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations
  • Manage and prioritize tenant service requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance tasks
  • Coordinate with operations teams on general office maintenance and special projects
  • Supervise maintenance of locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, furniture, and controllers
  • Diagnose complex maintenance issues and coordinate prompt resolutions to minimize downtime
  • Oversee moving of office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as needed
  • Train, mentor, and supervise maintenance team members
  • Manage vendor relationships, including selection and performance evaluation
  • Maintain accurate records for all completed work
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe workplace

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in commercial buildings or facilities
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical conditions
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and basic computer applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Building Maintenance, Facilities Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of commercial facility maintenance experience
  • HVAC certification or licensing
  • Electrical or plumbing trade certification
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of building automation systems
  • Project management experience
  • Vendor management experience
  • Bilingual capabilities

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with on-call availability and overtime as needed.

Estimated compensation for this position:

90,000.00 - 105,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
