Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Sr Project Coordinator Confidential . Reporting to the Sr. Executive Associate, this position is a key member of the Chancellor's Office administrative staff and plays a critical role in supporting and coordinating key projects and initiatives within the Office of the Chancellor.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
- Supports various senior administrators with the day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives, and special projects
- Works closely with the Chief of Staff, senior administrators on the Chancellor's leadership team, Rutgers-Newark leaders, and various units across campus
- Ensures the successful execution of academic, administrative, and research projects that align with the university's strategic priorities and fulfill the goals and objectives of the strategic plan
- Compiles, analyzes, and maintains confidential information related to faculty affairs, including sensitive personnel data, such as merit review documentation, potential disciplinary actions, hiring recommendations, years of service, and other faculty-related matters governed under the collective bargaining agreement
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Performs at a high level of professionalism and will always maintain the confidentiality of the Office of the Chancellor

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and years of experience with 2 years of experience in working in academic, government, or similarly complex organizations.
