FTI is seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to lead program execution within our matrixed engineering organization. This role focuses on directing engineering resources, aligning technical execution with program requirements, and ensuring delivery excellence across multiple projects.



Responsibilities

    Engineering Program Execution: Lead engineering performance across programs, managing schedule, resources, and deliverables in a matrixed engineering organization.
  • Acquisition and Budget Alignment: Support Ops Program Managers by providing engineering resource forecasts, cost estimates, and technical inputs to inform budget planning, execution, and forecasting.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Serve as a bridge between engineering functions, Ops Program Managers, and senior leadership, ensuring engineering execution aligns with customer and program objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Direct cross-functional engineering teams, overseeing technical status reports, review meetings, and schedule updates in coordination with Ops PMs.
  • Matrixed Resource Management: Manage engineering resource sharing across multiple programs, balancing priorities and workloads.
  • Compliance: Ensure engineering execution adheres to DoD acquisition processes, contractual requirements, and security standards.
  • Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across engineering functions, ensuring alignment of technical capabilities with program commitments and long-term workforce development.
  • Business Development Support: Provide engineering inputs for proposals, technical volumes, and capture efforts in partnership with Business Development.


Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering program management within the DoD contracting environment.
  • Proven track record leading engineering execution in a matrixed organization, balancing functional and program priorities.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting programs with $30M+ value and multi-project execution.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and engineering program compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost/schedule performance tracking.
  • Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI strongly preferred.
  • PMP or DAWIA Program Management certification is desirable.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong ability to collaborate with Ops Program Managers to translate customer requirements into engineering outcomes.
  • Experience coordinating geographically dispersed engineering teams.
  • Background in advanced engineering domains such as cyber, AI/ML, space, or digital engineering.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across multiple functions and programs.
