About this opportunity MillerKnoll's Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world engineering and design projects in a collaborative and innovative environment. What You'll Do You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, influence others, and be an owner every day as you... Assist in the design and prototyping of special products and components Conduct research and benchmarking to support product innovation Perform testing and validation of prototypes and new designs Analyze data and prepare technical reports and documentation for UL listing Support the Specials team in CAD modeling, simulations, and design reviews Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and compliance teams to ensure product feasibility and alignment Contribute to research efforts exploring new methodologies and innovative approaches What You Bring The needed skills and experience for this role include... Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo). Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Passion for innovation and eagerness to learn. Education Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program. Qualifications Must be authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
