TEKsystems is supporting a leading provider in the commercial insurance space to identify a skilled Underwriting Operations Team Lead. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in Property & Casualty underwriting and team leadership, looking to contribute to a high-growth, tech-forward insurance organization. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership * Supervise and mentor a team of underwriters. * Manage performance, training, and development. * Lead staffing efforts including interviewing and onboarding. Underwriting Oversight * Ensure adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines. * Review referrals, post-bind audits, and policy transactions. * Support underwriting quality and profitability. Operational Management * Monitor workflows and service levels. * Recommend process improvements and support system enhancements. * Participate in strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects. Compliance & Quality Assurance * Maintain compliance with state and federal insurance regulations. * Resolve escalated customer and regulatory inquiries. * Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Required Skills * Strong leadership and communication abilities. * Deep understanding of Property & Casualty underwriting. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree required. * Minimum 2 years of underwriting experience. * Prior leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
