Communication: ability to make technology driven decisions in projects and communicate with executives and board members in laymen's terms. *Description* The Director of Network Engineering and Operations is a senior technical leader responsible for the strategic planning, design, implementation, and operation of the organization's network systems. This pivotal role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of the network infrastructure, aligning it with the clients goals and objectives. The Director develops and executes network strategies that support the organization's mission and objectives, oversees the allocation and management of resources to ensure optimal network performance, and ensures the network's reliability and security through proactive measures and continuous monitoring. Additionally, the Director works closely with other departments to integrate network infrastructure with organizational goals, leads project planning and execution, including design, vendor evaluation and management, and implementation across multiple systems and provides technical guidance and supervision in the development, implementation, and support of network systems and security. The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience in managing and leading technical teams, in depth knowledge of network equipment, protocols, tools, and related infrastructure and security, and strong project management capabilities to oversee complex network projects. They should also possess the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and the ability to make informed recommendations in areas requiring advanced technical knowledge. This Director will manage a team of 10 on the networking and an additional 14 on the telecommunications. Top prioritizes for this Director will include ACI, Call Center Management NAC, SD-WAN, MDM, a NOC, and network/telecom hardware refreshes. They will work cross functionally with the cyber security teams as well as the client technologies teams that support cloud technologies. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* The Director needs to have the technical knowledge to help lead projects as well as communicate effectively between other teams, and present to C-level and board members. A background in telecommunication or cloud technologies is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who have supported healthcare, life sciences, or financial organizations due to understanding of HIPAA/SOX *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $225000.00/yr.
