Director of Self-Sufficiency Services County of San Diego, California San Diego, CA Annual Salary: $245,000 - $250,000 DOE/DOQ The County of San Diego, California, is seeking a seasoned and adaptable leader to serve as its next Director of Self-Sufficiency Services. This is a rare opportunity to guide one of the largest and most impactful departments within the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), dedicated to supporting the County's diverse and vulnerable populations through vital eligibility and self-sufficiency programs. The Director oversees an Assistant Director, six Deputy Directors, approximately 2,700 staff, and a budget of more than $649 million. This department oversees 12 Family Resource Centers, Policy Support, Service Delivery, the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, mobile operations, and other critical operational areas that ensure accessible, equitable, and effective services throughout the region. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of State and federal benefit programs, coupled with expert-level financial and operational expertise to navigate complex funding streams.
