SUMMARY OF POSITION

Transports Passengers and Freight by studying load and fuel requirements; ordering requirements; verifying crew availability; preparing and filing flight plan; completing external and internal preflight inspections; correcting deficiencies; maintaining contact with air traffic controllers; following flight plan; monitoring flight operations; managing flight deck and cabin; resolving emergencies.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Ensure safe air travel for all passengers.
  • Prepares for safe flight by completing external and internal preflight inspections; correcting deficiencies.
  • Obtains takeoff, flight, and landing instructions by maintaining contact with air traffic controllers.
  • Flies to destination by following flight plan; monitoring flight operations; managing flight deck and cabin; resolving emergencies.
  • Organizes flight by studying load and fuel requirements; ordering requirements; verifying crew availability; preparing and filing flight plan.
  • Maintains safe operations by complying with and enforcing Federal Aviation Administration, company, and airport regulations; reporting maintenance and security requirements.
  • Completes flight reports by entering required information.
  • Improves airplane piloting job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to airplane piloting and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
  • Develop and maintain a flight service and registration process for passengers to reserve flights to and from Avon, OH.

QUALIFICATIONS

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education / Certifications
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Private Pilot Certification Required
    • Instrument and Multi-Engine Rating Cert Required
    • Commercial Pilot Certification Required
  • Skills
    • Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
    • Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Abilities
    • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
    • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
    • Talking to others to convey information effectively.
    • Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
  • Experience
    • 5 years in a Corporate Pilot position.
