DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, the Clerical Assistant 2 will utilize processing systems to determine application status when answering incoming calls to the Board of Nursing call center. Utilizes appropriate communication methods to notify staff of inquiries received and makes note of these calls in the processing system. Interacts with the public via telephone contact. The Clerical Assistant 2 will provide general information related to application submission, application status, and/or any information provided on the public websites. Accesses the Resource Account and attaches documents to applications as directed, as well as enters data into processing system.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Secure parking is provided.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% after satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
