As a Certified Nurse Aide, you will serve as a Restorative Nurse Aide and be responsible for maintaining optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial care by providing ongoing rehabilitative and therapeutic treatments. You will initiate individual restorative programs as designed by therapists and the inter-disciplinary team, record resident response to the treatment programs, and maintain records of attendance, progress, or non-participation for each session. You will also transport residents to therapy appointments and utilize apparatuses in physical therapy such as the arm bike, parallel bars, and exercise weights. This role requires compassion and a desire to help our residents achieve program goals. In addition, you will assist at mealtime and teach proper eating habits, perform direct resident care, and assist with housekeeping tasks, such as making beds, changing and taking inventory of linens, and sterilizing and cleaning equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating schedule and every other weekend.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
• Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
• This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.

Additional Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
