The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Occupational Therapist plans and implements occupational therapy treatment in coordination with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current New Jersey State licensed as an Occupational Therapist required and
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
  • 1 year of acute care experience

Preferred:

  • American Occupational Therapy Association Certification preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem
  • Day Shift

Essential Functions:

  • Assess patients' functional status and makes recommendations for splinting and alternative home tool needs.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive services to meet individual needs.
  • Coordinates an occupational therapy schedule with other occupational therapy staff and schedules an individual caseload.
  • Develops a treatment program based on patients' functional abilities.
  • Evaluates and treats muscular, skeletal, neurological and cardiovascular patients.
  • Makes referral recommendations for additional patient care services as required.
  • Monitors adequate and appropriate inventory.
  • Works with the referring physician for individualized patient care needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
