CNC Machinist - Jackson, TN

Young Touchstone, a Wabtec Company in Jackson, TN, is now hiring CNC Machinists for 3rd shift. In this role, you will work with a broad range of talented individuals to deliver quality products in a timely manner. You will work alongside Assemblers and collaborate with professionals across multiple departments.

How will you make a difference

As a CNC Operator, you will follow specific work instructions to load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site. You will also identify opportunities to improve production processes while making safety your number one priority every day.

What we are looking for

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 or more years of assembly or material handling experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to use tools and equipment in an industrial setting
• Good listening and communication skills
• Team player with a strong work ethic

What your day will look like

• Read work orders or follow instructions to move materials
• Perform Kanban movement
• Load and unload materials by hand or using equipment
• Transport materials using forklifts, electric carts, and company vehicles
• Secure and prepare materials for transit
• Maintain accurate counts and records of materials moved
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks
• Assemble crates and wrap units for shipment
• Work safely and follow all company policies
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Regularly use hands to handle or feel and reach with arms
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Work at various heights from ladders or platforms
• Exposed to loud noise, fumes, and moving parts in the environment

Shift and Pay

• Shift: 3rd Shift - Sunday through Friday from 930 PM to 600 AM
• Pay Range: 22.00 to 24.50 per hour based on experience

Actual pay offered will depend on skills, experience, education, and business needs. This pay range is subject to change.
