Patient Service Coordinator - IV Therapy

Location: 100 Campus Drive, Scarborough, Maine
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday-Friday) with a flexible/rotating day off
Department: Cancer Care and IV Therapy | MaineHealth

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Service Coordinator to join our IV Therapy team in Scarborough. In this role, you will support patients living with cancer and other chronic illnesses in the Southern Maine community. This position is the first point of contact for patients and plays a crucial part in their care experience-offering reassurance, encouragement, and advocacy throughout their treatment journey.

As a Patient Service Coordinator, you'll dig into the details to ensure accurate scheduling and smooth coordination of care. You will work closely with a small, supportive team of professionals who value collaboration, communication, and patient-centered care. Over time, you'll develop meaningful connections with patients who return regularly for ongoing treatment, becoming an essential part of their healthcare support system.

Schedule Details:

  • 4 x 10-hour shifts per week

  • Shifts fall between 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday

  • One flexible/rotating weekday off per week

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative patient service experience required

  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail

  • Passion for supporting patients in a clinical setting

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Two years of administrative patient service experience.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
