Terminal/Warehouse/Transport DSV - Global transport and logistics Location: USA - Tulsa, East 27th Street N. Division:Solutions POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the CDL Shuttle Driver will be responsible for operating a box truck, flatbed truck, van with enclosed trailer or stand alone van for loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for safely operating the vehicle on each trip. Must follow all applicable laws and company policy. * Responsible for accounting for records involving vehicle maintenance and upkeep of vehicles. * Must function and interact on a daily basis with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements. * Must communicate using cellular telephone with operations, and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner. * Must maneuver trucks into loading and unloading position, following signal from loading/unloading crew as needed. Also place safety wheel chocks in front of wheel/tire to prevent truck movement as applicable. Some areas require backing of equipment into buildings/loading docks where applicable. * Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned. * On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment. * Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard OTHER DUTIES * Performs other duties as assigned. * Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * None MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience * Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). * Must have utility trailer experience. * Must have a clean driving record. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations * Satisfactory completion of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation is a plus, but not required for this position. Other * Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Computer Skills * Basic computer skills Language Skills * English (reading, writing, verbal) Mathematical Skills * Basic math Other * Must be able to work as assigned outside and in a warehouse environment. * Ability to read and follow manufacturer's instruction manuals. * Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or within a group. * Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance. * Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
